BRPG v1.6a is now available for download. It is to be considered in beta status for the time being.

The main features of this update are:
• Private messages can now be sent in the Lobby
• Minor bug fixes

The format for Encounters and Deployments has not changed since v1.5.

The "User Cast.cxt" file has not changed since v1.5, so copying over the "User Cast.cxt" file from a prior BRPG version may be a fast and efficient way to preserve your media if you are updating from that version of BRPG.

This is a full install. A patch version is available below.

For convenience, v1.6a is also available as a patch. You must already have v1.5a, v1.5b, or v1.6 installed in order to use this patch.

How to "install" this patch: Unzip the downloaded file, then simply move the included files into the corresponding BRPG folders, overwriting the existing files when prompted.

Although a ReadMe file with the information below is contained in the v1.6a download, some people might find it useful to see the changes prior to downloading the zip file.

• Added the ability to send private messages to a user in the Lobby. Right-click on a user's name to send the contents of the chat input field in a private message. While this is not the most intuitive way to handle private messaging, it was a quick and easy way to get the feature implemented without worrying about a graphical user interface, since the current lobby interface will likely be changed once the Lobby becomes more widely used.
• Optimized license verification/validation for faster program launch.
• Bug fix: Fixed the code that handles auto-updating of any change in the the Lobby server's IP address or port number.
• Bug fix: Hitting the "Cancel" button (on the Token Settings" panel) when adding a token to a unit should now properly revert the unit to its prior state before the new token was added.

A bug was reported shortly after release, and it has already been fixed, but the fix is only available in the v1.6a Patch. So anyone experiencing this bug (which manifests when adding additional tokens to a unit) should download the patch and copy over the "Browser.dxr" file from it into their BRPG "Support Files" folder.

This means that anyone downloading the Full Install of v1.6a (which doesn't contain the fix) should also download the Patch in order to get the fixed "Browser.dxr" file.
