In order to help heruca and me keep track of what features people might want, I would like to assemble a complete list of all the gaming systems people are interested in.
Even if BRPG is not currently the ideal platform for your game system right now, please list all game systems you might be interested in using a VT to play.
- Posting guidelines for this thread:
- Please make only one post in this thread. If you wish to add to your list, edit your original post. If you wish to discuss a particular gaming system, please create a new thread.
- If a system is a wargame, please indicate it by typing (Wargame) after the name of the system.
- If you have created your own system but have not published it, please indicate as such by typing (Custom) next to the system name and link to a post containing information about the system.
- If you do not use any established system but just make up the rules as you go, then include "Freestyle" in your list.
- You may (optionally) include a brief summary of each system, such as important links or the number of players it supports, but try to keep it concise.
- Please sort your list from most frequently played to least frequently played. Feel free to use headings.
- Feel free to list systems that have already been mentioned.
Thanks to all who post!

I figure that
GURPS
is a given, but I'll list it just to be official as I am a heavy GURPS player.
Oh, I'll also be playing in a
D&D 4E
campaign soon.

D&D 1e;
- 'rules' modified as necessary according to campaign etc
kept simple so it is the setting, campaign, situation, group that is all the focus of attention and the mechanics and rules are just in background to give a structure
Occasionally other stuff as it comes along

1. Cthulhu
2. Midgard (German RPG)
A few words to Midgard:
It is based on D20, D100 and D6 (No, not the D20 system, it just uses 20 sided dices). For a success on a specific skill you have to reach 20 on a D20, modified by a bonus or malus, given by the GM and of course your skill level (somewhere between 1 and mid 20 usually). Skilles can be rolled against each other. The highest wins.
The D100 is used for attribute (Str, Dex ...) checks. You have to be lower then your attribute for that check. Attributes range from 1 to 100.
Damage is determined with one or multiple D6, adding a weapon specific bonus and a personal damage bonus.
I guess this is pretty easy.
Best regards
hj

Welcome, tggonzo.
Once you've had a chance to play around with BRPG, please let me know if BRPG's support for nWoD and WoD dice mechanics needs improvement, or if it's fine just the way it is. Thanks.

Please help spread the word about BRPG and BGE, and never hesitate to tell me how I can make them better suit your gaming needs.

Welcome, Smolin.
Short list.

But that's a nice thing about GURPS. It's often all you ever need to cover any gaming genre.

Please help spread the word about BRPG and BGE, and never hesitate to tell me how I can make them better suit your gaming needs.

Bushido is a fine game - and the other games that spawned from the same basic mechanic, Daredevils and Aftermath!, are excellent fun, too (although Aftermath! gets a bit OTT in places!)
