BRPG v1.2e beta released |
|
BRPG v1.2e is now available for download. It is to be considered in beta status for the time being.
v1.2e is intended to fix a number of bugs that were found in v1.2d shortly after its release.
The format for Encounters and Deployments has not changed since v1.2d.
See the included ReadMe file for details about what bugs have been fixed and what other changes have been made.
This is a full install, but a patch version is available below.
Download BRPG v1.2e here:
Windows version: http://www.battlegroundsgames.com/BRPGv1_2eWin.zip
Mac version: http://www.battlegroundsgames.com/BRPGv1_2eMac.zip
Installation instructions are included in each zip file.
_____________________________________________________
For convenience, v1.2e is also available as a patch. You must already have v1.2c or v1.2d installed in order to use this patch.
Download BRPG v1.2e PATCH here:
Windows version: http://www.battlegroundsgames.com/V1_2E_Win_Patch.zip
Mac version: http://www.battlegroundsgames.com/V1_2E_Mac_Patch.zip
How to "install" this patch: Unzip the downloaded file, then simply move the included files into your BRPG v1.2c or BRPG v1.2d folder, and overwrite the existing files when prompted.

Although the ReadMe file with the information below is contained in the v1.2e download, some people might find it useful to see the changes & additions prior to downloading the zip file.
Version History:
v1.2e
• Added menu spacers to the "Audio" and "Portrait" submenus on a unit's contextual popup menu.
• Change: Made most of the buttons on the Command panel function as toggles. So now, if you press (for example) the "Turn Sequencer" button while the Turn Sequencer panel is already open, it closes it, instead. The only buttons that now are not toggles are: Load Encounter, Save Encounter, Load Deployment, Save Deployment, and Notepad.
• Bug fix: The text on the "Create Custom Deck" and "Export Assets" panels is no longer cropped off on the bottom when BRPG is running under Windows OS.
• Bug fix: No more erroneous error messages while exporting a media bundle when BRPG is running on a Windows OS.
• Bug fix: Creating custom card decks now works properly.
• Bug fix: The proper image is now used to depict the back of each card when using custom (user-created) card decks.
• Bug fix: Loading of card decks in the Card Table window now works again.

I've updated the OP to include the Full Install version.

No chance. Heruca would just move on to 1.21 a,b,c etc.
Must emphasis though that these frequent bug fix type releases are really good.

I realize that that releases have been almost too frequent lately, which may make it hard for some groups to stay in sync so that everyone is using the same version. But the idea is to end up with a new official (non-beta) release that's nice and usable to tide everyone over for a while, because v1.3 is going to break a lot of stuff and it could be a while before there is a game-able version ready.

Heh heh . . . I haven't even had time to unzip 1.2d yet! You've been busy, heruca.

I think it's a good sign to see the letters creep up for 1.2. Shows you're cleaning things up and getting rid of some of the nagging issues.

Sorry, patches only happen when important bugs are reported, and so far no important bugs have been reported for v1.2e.
If this keeps up, I'll have to start working on v1.3.
