Status sheets

Some games like FlightLeader or Blackbeard feature status cards/sheets for players where the player record status information my placing tokens.
Most of the time those status cards/sheets also define the possible values and effects that can then be read from the card/sheet?

How could this be handled?

In some cases, the counter-on-a-sheet functionality would be duplicated verbatim. The addition of tabbed views will really help in this regard, since you could simply have one tab for the game board and tokens, and another tab to view the status sheet.

In other cases (e.g., a simple Turn Counter), there will be more efficient ways of tracking that information without bothering to do it exactly the same way as in the printed boardgame/wargame.
