The posting error that afflicted the forum yesterday was caused by a server-wide security setting that was messed up.
The webhost has finally fixed the problem and posting is once again working.
The forum database got corrupted when they rebooted, but I loaded a backup from last night.
Everything should be working now. Be sure to tell me if any of you are still having problems.
