Yes, I'm experimenting with the GIMP most of the time. The cartoon filter is something I like to use on figures, but its not very subtle, even when adjusted. I am really looking for something (other than a shadow) that gives a bit more definition and takes away that just rendered look, but short of becoming a cartoon.
