Re: Announcing my next project

I've been promoting for a month or so on RPG sites, Google+ communities, Facebook groups, etc., so it's not like this is coming from nowhere. I also can't wait around forever with my nearly negligible current income. Debts are piling up.

Re: Announcing my next project

Some good points. The downloadable brochure talks a bit about planned features, and Updates during the campaign will surely bring that topic to the forefront.

31 days isn't short, though. It's pretty standard.

Re: Macromedia Projector Has Stopped Working

Someone else was getting this error yesterday and they were able to fix it by updating their Nvidia video card drivers. Just mentioning it in case this helps anyone else restore BRPG and/or BGE to working order.

Anybody feel like making a game conversion of this for BGE?

I can now reveal the name of my mapping program: MapForge

And, for now at least, this is the app's icon.

Re: SAGA:Dark Age

You can supposedly download the SAGA symbols for the game's custom dice from here . (forum registration required) Or maybe these symbols will do. Or scan them from pg 72 of the SAGA rulebook. Once you've got each die face as a stand-along image, it's a snap to make the custom dice in BGE (or BRPG).

Re: SAGA:Dark Age

Welcome, RedSandman. A quick forum search found nothing for SAGA Dark Age. I couldn't even find it on boardgamegeek.com or on rpggeek.com. From what you describe, and what I saw on the publisher's website, I think either program would be well suited, but BGE is the more economical option. Check out ...

Only backers of my Kickstarters have access for now (while it's in beta). There's no public download link for v1.9.

Re: Announcing my next project

Not quite "deadish", as I discovered when researching this market (again) a month ago, but the "killer app" still hasn't been made, IMO. Some interesting tools out there, though, for particular purposes. Hard-core cartographers will probably have more than one app in their toolbox. Edit: Dormouse, d...

Re: Wishlist for new content

You'll like the features I added to BRPG v1.9, then. You can attach a template/ruler to a unit, rotate it in fine increments (1 degree, 5, 15, etc.), put the overlay in the sideboard until you need it again, and it will have retained it's relative position and rotation the whole time it was hidden a...

Re: Development Update

There might be hope that some company will buy Director from Adobe and continue developing it (just as Adobe once bought Director from Macromedia).

In any case, I may as well start learning Unity this year. Seems to be the best thing around for developing for all platforms, including mobile OSes.

Crap!

It was just announced that Adobe Director is officially dead/abandoned as of next month. This is bad for me, as Director is the cross-platform development tool I know best. Link

Could it be that the cards in question had been Drawn, and never Discarded? Shuffling a deck reverts all cards to Not Drawn.

Re: Conversion of DVG's Warfighter

Ah, TTS. There's another purchase I regret having made. But when I saw how they were copying features from BGE (e.g. Views), I just had to have a closer look. Think I've had it about 4-5 months and racked up a whole 24 minutes of use. I tried a game I was intimately familiar with (Aliens boardgame),...
