New gallery feature looks awesome however I'm not getting the Cancel / Select buttons I see in your screen shot ?

Am running Windows 7, installed update over a blank 1.7e install.

7TV: Department X and the Curse of the Bone Idol

Heya Folks, Last night, after some cracking help from Heruca himself, my good friend CJ and I fought our first game of the 7TV wargame ( http://www.crooked-dice.co.uk/7tv.html ). Being seperated by hundreds of miles we used BGE to fight the game. It went rather well... I had already decided to use D...

Heya Heruca, I did indeed (after a fashion). The rules are about 85% there. I was writing card interpretations as I played so there are still some I haven't 'converted' to to solo. I didn't finish it up and package everything as there wasn't much interest here. I'll have another look at getting thin...

Alone Against The Sprawl - Coming Soon...

Heya Folks, Just thought I'd drop a quick post to show you what I've been up to recently using the awesome Battlegrounds engine. I intend to post the heavily modified solitaire rules, the CXT and BGE files once I've done a bit more playtesting. They should work in the full versions of both BGE and B...

Heya Heruca, I've given it a good go with a couple of skirmish wargames (Flintloque and Strange Grogge) and all I can say is brilliant ! Well Done ! The "Measure Move" and "LOS" functions are superb and are just what was needed ! (I would recommend turning off the 'round up' option for true range). ...

BRPG and BGE

Heya Heruca, I've been using BRPG for ages now and it's excellent. I use it for Board Games, CCGs and a variety of Wargames. Is there any benefit to me using BGE ? Or is it a more streamlined version of the main program ? The two things it needs to support more games and especially wargames is a big...

Hey Taliz, Yanks and Germans, both awesome packs, bought them yesterday for my Weird World War II gaming habits (also got the excellent Critter pack in the bundle). Any chance of British Troops next ? Also I wondered if there was any possibility of you creating some Weird War soldiers ? The specific...

That's how I do it, I leave the grid in BRPG on to help with lining things up and turn "snap to" off :)

AH plays really well in BRPG.

All I can say Heruca is well done mate, another fantastic Battlegrounds (BRPG) game conversion :) I've just played this (on my netbook, an Asus 1005HA) on my holidays on Crete whilst my girlfriend had a siesta. I'd not played Dungeon of D before but had actually started making an Island of D module ...

Heya Heruca, I have decided to go for the card window after testing both. The Shift-C hotkey makes it nice and easy to pop up mid game. I've also designed a new card layout, attached to this post. I decided to use artwork from the new board instead of plain text as it looks much better and brings th...

Scratch that I have discovered you can stack and shuffle objects just not if they have been tagged as free floating. Is there a way to enable grouping and stack/shuffling of free floating objects ? *two minutes later* Aha, more playing around shows I can but I have to shift click each one, I can't d...

Hey Heruca, It's coming together, I've attached a screen grab of how things look. You can see the Terrain Hex Objects in the centre. One thing I'd like to request as a future feature (as I don't think it can be done at the moment) is the ability either Stack and Shuffle objects or to make Figures fr...

Hey Heruca, Any chance you can help ? I have made my map in Hexographer but I cannot for the life of me get it to match the hexes in Battlegrounds. I know I have to shrink/expand the px in both horizontal and vertical but it just won't match up. I've attached the PNG of the map from Hexographer. Tha...

Hey Heruca,

Antialias does indeed make things look pretty :)

In Hexographer how big should I make the hexes to get them to fit exactly into BRPG ? I tried 122 by 122 but they looked weird.

Awesome piece of free software too, I'm going to redo the map as you suggested using it.

Thanks,

Craig

Hey Heruca, The game looks awesome, I hadn't got round to playing it as I'm primarily a solo gamer. No one likes the weirdy games I play :) My intruder game is playable but not that pretty and my Source of the Nile (SOTN) is even less seemly so but is an awesome game. I got all 108 cards in as Figur...

Excellent Feature: Free Floating Objects !!

Heya Everyone, You might all be aware of this awesome function but I was ignorant of it until today. By right-clicking on an object and selecting 'Free floating' it stays in place relative to the game window. This makes it really useful in my various board game conversions (especially Advanced Heroq...

I've done exactly the same thing for my Flintloque games, from Steady Check -5 to +5

Would be great to have something to input a modifier from the Roll Dice Macro button.

Heya Heruca,

Each day I genuinely think of a slightly different way to use BRPG :)

I was on version G on the train so my saved encounters and save games files don't load, I just get an error message.

I've got another question about hexes but will play around a bit more before posting.

Heya Heruca, On a card based note is there any way to import many (100+) cards from a directory at once as figures or any way we can make our own card decks for use in the map window ? Intruder !

Morning All, Just thought I'd pop up a quick post to once again say how brilliant BRPG is ! I had an epic eight hour train journey yesterday but thankfully I had my trusty Eee PC NetBook with me and a bunch of Intruder game files from BoardGameGeek (BGG). http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2613/...
