Re: Thanks

Thanks for the video links. Would love to see some examples of a role playing session from GM view and player view as they do a short 20m to 30m skirmish that utilizes a lot of features that people will use while playing. I've played around with demo for about an hour tonight will spend more time o...

Command Window Idea

In addition to an improved menuing system another feature in Battlegrounds I think would blow the competition out of the water would be a command window. Now imagine you have your characters on your map and everything is in place. Now you have throw an area spell marker on the map. Wouldn't it be gr...

One more vote for extensions. Personally I think it is needed. To allow others to make use of Battlegrounds programmically re-vitalizes the software with each new addition especially in ways never thought of before.

Yay! Another vote for extensions . ;-) Keep in mind that many of your interface suggestions (such as a windows-style toolbar and photoshop buttons) could be potentially added using those plugins/extensions. Is this already implemented? Or still in the development stages? Still in the development st...

Heruca: You have something grand here and I think the idea of expanding it to compete more with Fantasy Grounds is a good idea. Although you are slightly limited in Director, you still have generated something that I have actually come back to, having tried other venues. The biggest reason is that y...

Some ideas of GUI improvement and one feature enhancement

After purchasing Fantasy Grounds and being rather disappointed in its GUI I came to better appreciation of the interface Battlegrounds has and how vastly superior it is to Fantasy Grounds. There is something to said about practical versus glamorous. Yet in thinking about the GUI in Battlegrounds I s...

Weird. The TS Settings work fine for me, and the TS scrolls just fine both vertically and horizontally, without any redraw problems. Is there anything unusual about your computer system? For example, are you running Linux, or do you have multiple displays hooked up? Multiple Displays (2x19'' monito...

There you be. :D

Also the mouse wheel feature does not fix the issue either as it only scrolls a touch to the left and stops. :(

Turn Sequencer

Loving the new Initiative roller for the turn sequencer but unfortunately I find this program almost unusable due to a rather common issue, the window simply doesn't render properly and I cannot stabilize it. That is the columns are usually never displayed properly and are always offset to the left....

Does this release fix the problem with Fog of War causing a script error when using the dynamic functions?

I have a strong feeling, your error is related to mine, if not pointing to the same bug. It only happens when I mess around with the dynamic and manual functions, yet I think in your setup you have isolated it to the dynamic function.

If I can add to this. I think it would be nice to add a feature that links the GM map to the client map. that is, whatever I do to my map on my GM screen is what happens on the client. I realize that outside a live setting, not having this is ideal, but in a live setting, I would like to be able to ...

I have a few ideas for the Turn Sequencer now that I have had a chance to use it 1) It would be great if I could click on a column value say the Init value for a character and have it automatically highlight that value so I can quickly change the information. Currently it focuses on the first column...

I have included an encounter file where i have a "Syntax error" occurring. This does not have any light sources but I think it is still related. I think that because in both instances everything worked great until I started messing with the Fog of War stuff. Once I made an area visible, I started to...

Thanks again.

1. This is not normal behavior. It shouldn't matter if you've placed 7 or 70 objects. Did you by chance edit the "Light Sources Menu.txt" file? Feel free to send me your Encounter file if you want me to check it for problems. 2. Again, not normal behavior. When you configured what values you want t...

It's unfortunate you started the project in Director since right there you are limited to certain specs. FoW for a whole map I think is the selling point right there. I hope there is a solution with Director to make FoW work with 4000x4000 since I use CC3 and most of my maps are bigger than 2440 x 2...

Placing Objects and Turn Sequencer

I have encountered bugs with both instances which is making working with Battlegrounds rather difficult. 1) Placing Objects seems to work great until you use too many. And in this case all I have were 7 placed objects, all light sources. In trying then to use FOW with these light source I begin to g...
