Since I originally come from the COSIM/wargame camp I would like to join the beta test.
I play wargames for 20 years or so, and did a "Cry Havoc" and "B17-Queen of the skies" adaptation for BG.

BTW, have you ever thought of including the "Dice Pack" into the official version? It's a great add-on to the product, so why not make it a part of the setup. If you don't know that it exists you really have to dig through old threads, get hinted or be lucky to find it. And it would really be a sham...

I guess that must mean the program I'm using to create these hex grids must be imperfect, right? Nope, didn't say or mean to imply that. It's just that the AoEs in BRPG were coded in such a way that their rotation and centerpoints are determined by keywords in each AoE graphic's filename, so trying...

So... being a new Battlegrounds user, I currently have version v1.4i. What do I need to do to go to this version? I assume a full install, but would that mean I would have to redownload art packs, etc. Also, would that mean that I would have to register everything again? There have been a lot of ad...

Yup, that's exactly what happened. It's a Director bug, not a BRPG-specific bug.
I see. Well, then lets see what else 1.6L brings... :)

By the way, I've contacted the folks at ICE to try to get permission to do a digital conversion of Silent Death. They haven't gotten back to me yet. I hope you get an answer. It seems that the situation is a bit complicated. In December 2001, ICE's assets were purchased by Aurigas Aldebaron LLC, an...

Is there a way to do that kind of macro

I recently used BG to track the moves in our Silent Death space battle tabletop. My gaming buddy asked if it would be possible to also roll the attack/damage dice using BG. Unfortunately SilentDeath has a kind of unique way to calculate the tohit/damage. TO-HIT: Roll and add together the weapon syst...

Just load any Encounter from this release, select "Clear All Units", and resave the Encounter under a new name. You now have the table ready to use in your own Encounters, and you can resize it to suit your needs using the Map Settings panel. Worked, but how can I include it in already existing enc...

Does anything happen if you ensure that nothing is selected, then you press [Alt + any arrow key], or [Shift+Alt+any arrow key]? nope, nothing happens. If this is indeed broken on Windows, you should still be able to use the Chat window to change the stagger offset, as indicated in the ReadMe. yea,...

Thats what I'm doing: * select the objects via the marquee * then use the stagger command * while keeping the selction press the ALT plus different cursor keys Nothing happens. no new st...
